SDS offer two levels of domestic smoke and heat detection depending on your needs:

Fire Detection as part of your Intruder Alarm

This version of heat and smoke detection can be wired into your intruder alarm and is a commonly used option for a domestic fire alarm. We recommend including it in your alarm package.

Our home fire detection systems can be programmed to suit any environment be it kitchen, stairwell or wine cellar, so there’s no need to worry about false alarms. If your system is monitored and a fire should occur, an alert will be sent to our alarm receiving centre (ARC) and the emergency services will be called. A quick response is vital when it comes to preventing fire damage.

We recommend this option as a minimum for your home. We ensure that all our products are cost effective without compromising safety.

Fire Detection Compliant Systems

This type of fire alarm is an independent system from your intruder system and is normally used in larger buildings or buildings with a higher fire risk. Such systems are compliant with the strict requirements of the BS5839, a standard published by the British standards Institution (learn more here).

Standalone fire alarms in residential buildings are normally specified by building control or insurance companies. If in doubt one of our trained fire surveyors can come and do a survey on your property to assess your requirements.
